Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By accessing or using ReceiptCSV (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description

ReceiptCSV extracts structured data (store name, date, totals, line items) from receipt images you upload. Extracted data can be exported as CSV or sent to third-party integrations you authorize.

3. Accounts

  • You must provide a valid email address to create an account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • You may not create accounts for automated or bulk purposes without prior authorization.
  • You may delete your account at any time from Account settings. Data is removed within 30 days.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Upload illegal, fraudulent, or infringing content.
  • Use the Service to violate any applicable law or regulation.
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, bypass rate limits, or disrupt the Service.
  • Upload content that contains malware, viruses, or harmful code.
  • Use automated scripts to upload receipts without human review.

5. Upload limits & billing

  • Free accounts are limited to 5 uploads per month. Pro accounts are limited to 100 uploads per month unless otherwise stated.
  • Pro plan billing is monthly or annual as selected at checkout. Payments are processed securely via Stripe.
  • You may cancel your Pro subscription at any time. Access continues until the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds.
  • We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice (sent via email).

6. Data & privacy

  • Your receipt images and extracted data belong to you. We claim no ownership.
  • We process receipt images through AI providers to extract data. See our Privacy Policy for details on data sharing.
  • We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
  • We retain your data until you delete it or delete your account.

7. Integrations

Integrations with third-party services (Zapier, Google Sheets, QuickBooks, etc.) are provided as optional features. You authorize data sharing when you enable an integration. We are not responsible for how third-party services handle your data once received. Each integration is governed by that service's terms and privacy policy.

8. Service availability

  • We strive for high availability but do not guarantee 100% uptime.
  • We may perform scheduled maintenance with advance notice via email or dashboard banner.
  • We are not liable for losses resulting from service interruptions.
  • We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms or engage in abusive behavior.

9. Disclaimer

The Service is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that extracted data is accurate, complete, or error-free. Receipt images may contain unclear, handwritten, or ambiguous content that affects extraction quality.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ReceiptCSV and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to inaccurate extraction results, data loss, or integration failures.

11. Changes

We may update these terms at any time. Material changes will be notified via email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
